I am starting with an old passion of mine, Internal Collaboration, knowledge and information sharing as well as finding the right expertise within the organisation. I will try to be concrete and skip the marketing buzzwords. This is the first in my series of examples of real-life Cognitive Business.
After my previous post on the Future of Cognitive Business, I realized that even though many might know and understand the word Cognitive, the term Cognitive Business might need some further explanation. So here it is….or part of it at least, more to come.
IBM Watson Ecosystem is a partner program for companies and startups to leverage IBM Watson services. It is also a community, semi accelerator and VC. Monies, where I am a co-founder is a part of the IBM Watson Ecosystem.
Instead of capitalizing on your friends poor taste in music and news, lets learn about you and how you behave, read, listen, all to bring you the best experience possible. Both Spotify and Pocket are good examples of companies who have done this right.
There is no correct answer to what languages IBM Watson currently supports. Each of the 28 services support different languages, services like AlchemyLanguage even supports different languages for each sub-api, sentiment (8) and language classification (97) as an example.
Today IBM took another step with Watson, this by launching a new division, the Watson IoT (Internet of Things). the Watson IoT Headquarters will be located in Munich, so finally some European spotlight within the Watson world.
IBM Watson is so much more the just a Watson assistant, but the interaction is done via a natural language interface, this so we can interact with Watson in the same way as we do as humans. This simplifies things tremendously.
