We all hear about the mobile revolution, but still we see all these laptops in cafes, in the livingroom at home, in the office?
Even if we do not see it so distinct in the Western world it is happening there, we have seen the data, but what is very clear is that is has already happened in Asia.
Just look at the below image on how India, China and Indonesia consumes internet related information. What is interesting in this that these are also huge emerging markets, many jump over the desktopp and don’t even own one, they use tablets and mobile devices.
In 5 years it will even a higher penetration since the speed the middleclass in Asian is increasing and how interent connectivity through smartphones are accellerating it will be a different world.
There is a distinc difference in how most of the western world uses mobile devices vs the large countries in Asia.

So, if you wondered why the, mobile only, app Path last financing round was funded by an Indonesian VC, no need to wonder no more (it created some controversy for other reasons as well).
